After graduating from Exeter University with a degree in English & Fine Art, Charlotte worked for School of London painter R.B. Kitaj as an archivist, firstly in London and then in Los Angeles. Whilst in London, she completed a Master’s Degree in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art.

On her return from LA, she worked in Fine Art Sales until she decided to return to family and the New Forest, acquiring a restaurant in 1999, which she ran with her siblings until 2007.

Charlotte’s passion for art, literature and learning remained strong, and she decided to train to teach through Schools Direct, working in schools in Bournemouth and the New Forest. As an ex-pupil and parent, Charlotte is a keen advocate for Forres Sandle Manor and has turned full circle to teach English in the Senior school.

Outside of work, she spends time with her son and family in the New Forest and still maintains she will write that book and paint that picture…
