This year, our Reception children were particularly inspired by World Book Day They decided to take their love for books to the next level by writing their own storybooks.
The children were filled with excitement as they began to brainstorm ideas for their stories. They thought about their favourite characters, places, and events, and started to weave their own unique tales. Some children wrote stories about magical kingdoms, while others wrote about their favourite superheroes.

Reception Writing Stories

As the children worked on their stories, they began to realise the power of their own imaginations. They learned that they could create their own worlds and characters and that the only limit to their stories was their own creativity.

They also discovered the joy of writing, and how it could be used to express their thoughts and feelings in a fun and creative way.
Once their stories were complete, the children were eager to share them with their friends. As they read their stories to each other, they were filled with pride and excitement.

It was heartwarming to see the children so engaged and excited about writing. They had discovered a new passion and had honed their language skills in the process. They also learned about the power of storytelling and how it can connect us with each other, even in a world that often feels disconnected.

It was a wonderful reminder of the power of books and the importance of fostering a love of reading and writing in children. Well done to you all!
