What an extraordinary morning it has been for our children in years Reception to Year 4! Today, we were incredibly fortunate to have a very special visitor, Maureen Rose, the former dressmaker to none other than Queen Elizabeth II herself.
The children were absolutely captivated as Maureen shared her enchanting tales of dress fittings, royal fashion, and even adorable corgis! They hung onto every word, their eyes wide with wonder, as she painted a vivid picture of life at the illustrious Buckingham Palace.
It was truly an honour to have someone with such remarkable firsthand experience right here in our school. The children were eager to ask questions, and Maureen graciously answered them all, providing even more fascinating insights into the behind-the-scenes world of royalty.
The excitement in the air was palpable as the children imagined themselves in the presence of queens and princes, getting a glimpse into the magical realm of palaces and ceremonies.
