A Night to Remember: Our Inaugural Seniors’ Sports Awards Evening
Yesterday evening saw the launch of something truly special—our very first Seniors’ Sports Awards Evening—and what a triumph it was!
The evening began in fine style, as our Senior School pupils were welcomed to a themed sports dinner held in the beautifully prepared FOSM Room. It was a moment of celebration, reflection, and anticipation, all set against a backdrop of laughter and shared stories from an incredible year of sporting endeavour.
From there, pupils made their way out onto the Manor Lawns, where waiting families and friends were greeted with drinks and warm conversations under a summer sky. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect.
As twilight settled, guests gathered inside the Gazebo for the highlight of the evening: the awards presentation. Led by our Director of Sport, Mr Hancock, and Head, Mr Howe, the event shone a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of our senior athletes across a stunning variety of disciplines.
From Hockey to Cricket, Golf to Netball, Skiing to Football, Rugby to Swimming, Rounders to Running, and so much more, the talent on display was nothing short of inspiring. Each award presented was a well-deserved recognition of not only individual excellence, but also the spirit, resilience, and commitment that define sport at our school.
As Mr Hancock so aptly put it, the awards are lovely—but they are only part of the journey. Everyone can take something away from striving to be the best version of themselves in their chosen sport.
It was a perfect evening to celebrate our senior sports stars in style—and every single one of you should be incredibly proud. You are all absolute stars. WELL DONE!
