A hands-on introduction to Prep life at Forres Sandle Manor

At Forres Sandle Manor, we believe the best way for children to discover a school is to experience it for themselves. Our Prep Experience Day offers a fun, immersive introduction to life in our Prep School – designed for curious, enthusiastic children and families exploring their next steps.
Children will enjoy a full day of engaging, age-appropriate learning across a range of subjects, giving them a genuine insight into how we teach, learn and care at FSM.
What will children experience?
Throughout the day, children will take part in a carefully planned programme of practical lessons and activities, including:

Creative problem-solving in Computer Science

Exploring materials and ideas in Art and Design & Technology

Curiosity-led investigation and hands-on learning in Science

Outdoor learning and teamwork through Forest School

Confidence-building games and physical activity in Games
Sessions are lively, interactive and thoughtfully structured – encouraging curiosity and creativity while ensuring children feel happy, supported and at ease.
A welcoming environment, expert teaching
Children will be taught by our Prep School teachers in a variety of classrooms across our beautiful 35-acre campus. Our small class sizes and ‘small school’ approach mean every child is known, encouraged and cared for throughout the day.
At pick-up, parents will have the opportunity to meet staff and our Admissions team, ask questions and find out more about Prep life, pastoral care and admissions pathways.
Who is this day for?
This experience is ideal for families considering Prep School entry – particularly those looking ahead to Year 3 and beyond – although children from a range of ages are very welcome.
No prior experience of Forres Sandle Manor is needed; this day has been designed especially for families new to the school.
