A hands-on Space & Engineering Experience Day
At Forres Sandle Manor, learning goes far beyond the classroom. We are delighted to invite pupils in Year 7 and Year 8 to join us for a Science & Engineering Experience Day, themed around space and rockets. This immersive day has been designed for curious children who enjoy experimenting and building – giving pupils an exciting taste of life at FSM.
What will pupils experience?
Throughout the day, pupils will take part in a carefully planned programme of Science and Design & Technology lessons, including:
- Exploring rockets, forces and space in hands-on Science lessons
- Designing, building and testing projects in DT engineering lessons
- Thinking and experimenting like real scientists and engineers
Lessons are structured to encourage creativity and confidence, while remaining engaging and fun.
Exceptional facilities, expert teaching
All lessons will take place in our brand new, multi-million-pound STEAM building, which provides specialist laboratories and workshops designed to support practical STEM learning.
The day will be led by:
- Mrs Young, Head of Science
- Mr Russell Hill, Head of Design & Technology
