At Forres Sandle Manor School, we’re proud to shape the future of education, and our upcoming STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) building is a bold step forward. This state-of-the-art facility underscores our commitment to providing an exceptional, forward-thinking education that equips pupils for a rapidly changing world
Work Starts
Work on the project officially started during the February half term of 2025. The first phase involved constructing temporary classrooms that will serve as a home for some of our classes while the new STEAM building is under construction. The old classrooms have now been taken down and the groundwork for the STEAM building is well underway.
Watch out for regular updates, including photographs, as we make progress on this exciting project.
The diggers have moved in and are starting the demolition of the buildings to make way for the foundations of the new building. A building that will lead the way in reinforcing what we mean by #TheFSMDifference and our incredible educational offering.
Rollalong Visit
Recently, some of the team were lucky enough to go behind the scenes and find out more about our amazing new STEAM building by going along to Rollalong, the company who are building it to see it being put together. They showed us the building technique, the type of materials involved and how it will all come together on the site here at Forres Sandle Manor. It is all getting very exciting now.

Our First Look inside the new STEAM Building
In July 2025, the on-site team had the first opportunity to have a sneak peek inside the new build and see the flurry of work to turn this into all the incredible educational spaces for the future.
Here are some of the photographs.
The STEAM Building: Internal Fit-Out Underway!
October has brought an exciting milestone for Forres Sandle Manor as the internal fit-out of our brand-new STEAM Building gets underway. Our trusted partners at Westcountry have been hard at work transforming the space, from painting and decorating to installing the innovative features that will soon bring our classrooms, cutting-edge science laboratories, and creative spaces to life.
Each day, the vision of this remarkable facility becomes more tangible, and the excitement across our school community continues to grow. It won’t be long before pupils and staff step into this new chapter of learning and discovery, where Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics will come together under one inspiring roof.
The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to unveil this incredible addition to Forres Sandle Manor. Another proud example of the #FSMDifference.
September 2025 – The Main Build is Nearly Complete
As the main build phase draws to an end, we thank the Rollalong team, who have done a phenomenal job. The internal fit-out now begins.
