Following a visit by the NSPCC, FSM took on the challenge of a ‘Commando Course’. The rain hammered it down in the morning ensuring a muddy route and the children loved it! They went over, under and through all sorts of different obstacles and, if that wasn’t tough enough, some of the children carried tyres round the course with them because that’s how tough they are!

I have plenty of thank yous to say for making this possible. Firstly to Fordingbridge Tyre and Battery Ltd for their kind donation of tyres. Secondly to Mr Harvey who merrily helped me load them all into and out of the works van in his half term when I spotted him en route to collect them! All of the games staff who each supervised a station with encouragement and humour and finally to the children. Not only did they really get stuck into the challenge and help each other out along the course, but despite the rain and being caked in mud, were tremendous in their volunteering of help to tidy everything away afterwards. You know who you are so thank you.

Finally, don’t forget to bring in your sponsorship money so we can really support the work of the NSPCC.
