After graduating from Durham university with a degree in modern languages, Mrs Ziman moved to the Netherlands.  Here she worked for 4 years as a representative of an import-export company, trading with the USSR. During the chaos of 1990 she moved to Moscow to work as a translator and ended up spending the next 32 years there.

During this time she raised a family, working as a translator and also as an ESOL teacher. Many of her students went on to work and study in countries all over the world.
In 2022 she returned to the UK and from September 2023 has been working at FSM.

In her free time Mrs Ziman enjoys hiking and cycling and handicrafts.
