Life at FSM

School Houses

School Houses

When children join the School, they also join a School House. The four houses are named after enclosure areas found in the New Forest – which is an area of land which the Schools sits within.

Lower School

True education begins long before exams are even on the horizon: the way we are taught in our early years has a huge influence on our long-term love of learning and the person we will eventually become.

Upper School

Our Upper School takes children on an exciting journey from which they emerge as confident, accomplished teenagers who are ready to leave us and excited to join their senior schools.

Boarding

Boarding is at the heart of FSM school life. It is our boarding school structure that allows us to be the distinctive school we are: creative, imaginative and above all, caring.

International

FSM has always welcomed international pupils. Along with our home-from-home boarding house, we offer a large range of support to ensure pupils integrate successfully.

FSM Curriculum

We aim to create an atmosphere where to excel is not just acceptable, it’s cool! Our Able Child programme identifies the most able children in each subject area, every year, using class performance and test scores, and ensures that they are given extension activities that will challenge and stimulate them.
